Value Streaming Map

Writer: Irfaan HaffejeeIrfaan Haffejee

It is a way of visualizing and enhancing the value stream that you are delivering to the customer. This is done by showing the important steps in your work process. It is basically a representation of the flow of goods from the supplier to the customer. These aforementioned steps deliver value from start to finish. It can also allow us to see progress at each step of the process. According to Lean thinking, the value is everything the customer would pay for but some of the steps within the value stream may be indirectly increasing value in this regard i.e., Quality Assurance and inspection.
